Description
Toniic Impact Investing Workshop at AVPN 2019: "Identifying Impact Investment Opportunities for Accredited Investors in Asia"
Many accredited investors, family offices and private foundations are shifting more and more of their investment capital across all asset classes to businesses and funds that offer the potential of social and environmental returns alongside financial returns. But it can be a daunting task to identify and analyze opportunities that align with your values while also meeting your return expectations and risk tolerance.
Toniic is a global community of asset owners that curates peer-to-peer events and activities to help members share with and learn from each other, so that we all make better more informed impact investment decisions.
On the afternoon of Friday, June 28th, we invite accredited investors to join us for a half day workshop at the AVPN Conference where we will will present impact investing case studies in Asia to showcase the breadth and depth of opportunities in the region, particularly around issues including ocean health and sustainability.
Research findings will also be highlighted to demonstrate how investors can have impact with their capital across all asset classes, based on the portfolios of over 70 global impact investors.
Individuals, family offices and private foundations interested in a portfolio approach to impact investing will connect with and learn from leaders within the Toniic community to help catalyze more of their own capital within the region.
This half-day workshop will be divided into four parts:
- A panel discussion featuring case studies from three Toniic members who are actively investing in Asia. Participants will learn first hand the process that each of them uses to source, analyze, manage and measure the results of their impact investments.
- Presentations from two impact funds that are specifically focused on addressing critical social and environmental issues in Asia
- Findings of two recent Toniic studies that offer insights and share lessons from the experience of leading impact investors globally
- Information on Toniic's partnership with AVPN which provides all AVPN members with an opportunity to jointly become members of both organizations
We look forward to seeing you there!
